Dia 7

Neste dia fizemos a despedida de Katty (Katy Marroney ) e Pricila (princesa) que com muita generosidade se disponibilizaram a fazer o café da manha, como um ato de agradecimento aos agradáveis dias que passaram conosco, rsss....

Como de procedimento organizamos o material, eu particularmente fiz uma comida com muita dedicação, um maravilhoso macarrão com caldo Kinor para variar um pouco o cardápio. Depois de tomarmos o café, iniciamos nossa peregrinação à terra santa (Cerro Verde), chegando nas proximidades da região; tendo andado mais de 10 km.

Faço uma observação muito importante à equipe:

- Tenho uma péssima noticia para dar a vcs...

Então todos pararam o que estavam fazendo e direcionaram a atenção para mim com uma cara: Que passo...?

Aí, então tive que dar a desagradável informação de que esquecemos a comida...

Todos com uma cara de desanimo compreenderam a situação. A partir deste momento resolvemos fazer apenas um lance de rede durando aproximadamente 1 hora. Conseguimos capturar um pobre Chucho; a partir disto retiramos a rede da água e libertamos o pobre animal que em tentativa de fuga se furou com seu ferrão. (by pinche Kady)

Day 7 – Keith and Priscila’s last day, and we forget to take lunch

As a farewell gift, Keith and Priscila took the breakfast shift, even though they weren’t catching their bus until midday.  After taking photos with everyone and farewelling the girls, we set out for Cerro Verde.  It was overcast, but it seems that the cloud cover keeps the heat in; it wasn’t completely cold.  We met with Carlos at Pesquero and chatted for a little while, before loading up the net, wetsuits and other gear to continue on to Cerro Verde.  On the way, Gustavo jokes about a previous day when Bruno forgot to pack the lunch for the field work.  Despite this, it is not until we are almost at the site that Kady stops and declares that he didn’t pack the lunch.  We decide it is easiest to stay and continue with the capture, and just finish the day early.  The net goes in at a quarter to one, and then an hour later, while Kady and Gustavo are out checking the net, they find a ray, and have to bring the net in to free it.  We take photos and set it free, and then pack up the gear to head back for the afternoon.
